Hi everyone I have an Elgato HD60 Pro and I built a little itx system for capturing with spare parts. It has an i7 4770K, 16GB of DDR3 1333MHz RAM and it's using the Haswrll integrated graphics because the one PCIe slot is in use with the Elgato card.

I get very choppy preview playback and even choppier recording of 1080p video. The weakest link in the system is due to using the integrated graphics but I don't know if the video preview is "accelerated" by the graphics card or it is the CPU doing the work?

If I drop the bitrate down to the minimum (8.8mbps) its much smoother and appears to be recording at 60fps for 1080p60. So is this the CPU or GPU not being able to keep up?

Edit it's not actually managing to record at 60fps it's still dropping frames. It can manage 720p 60 at minimum bitrate though

Have it feeling it might be CPU and GPU that's the problem here. Your CPU is below what they recommend for the HD60 Pro (they want a 6000 series CPU), and it recommends an NVidia 10XX GPU or equivalent, and I'm sure no onboard GPU that is from the 4000 Intel chip line is not up to competing on the same level. So you may need to grab a new system to use it properly given there's only 1 PCIe slot and the Elgato is using it.

Wait for someone with actual experience with this though who can offer more accurate info, I'm just doing the bare basic checks and raising what I notice.
