So I want to get a capture card to start recording gameplay and make a montage with a friend but I'm looking to see what the best capture card would be.

I've been looking around the most popular seem to be either Dazzle or Happauge HD PVR. But the Dazzle quality looks terrible on tests I've seen.
HD PVR looks good but I've been browsing and found new capture card just realised Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle, looks pretty promising.

Blackmagic:

Happauge:

This is for Xbox 360 recording, I want the best quality possible, lag free.

Any ideas on the best to choose?

Not talking about QS Montages or anything like that lol.
Talking about competitive gaming and stopping people disputing etc.

Bought the Hava, which records in SD but has component passthrough so you get to play in HD still. This was really good, cheap, and versatile (you can use it to stream directly onto lan/internet).

I then decided to go HD, and I toyed with the BlackMagic Shuttle or Intensity, but eventually got the Hauppauge HD PVR, and am very pleased with it.

I have a Blackmagic Intensity PCI express card which I used to record footage from the 360. I have a for sale thread if you're interested.

You can record using lossless compression (1280x720 @ 60fps, or, 1920x1080i @ 30fps), RAID0 array required. Alternatively you can use the Blackmagic MJPEG codec which has perfectly good results and use only one HDD.

It's very easy to capture/edit using VirtualDub.

Here's a look at some of the video I recorded (you have to take account for the Youtube compression, the actual raw video before uploading is way better quality, I can link a raw video if you like).
