I have a JVC Video camera here with me that cant connect to USB, only S-Video and Composit.

I can rip videos threw the S-Video no problem, but can i get the audio can i hell, i have tried so many combinations i have tried 4 programs to get audio it wont pick up anything.

I have a Phono lead red and white both ends, plug red in Comp Vid out and Comp in on video card, i get video no problem, i plug ther white into a phono - headphone jack plug it in Microphone, picks up no audio, line in no audio, i have even tried plugging the cable direct into S/PDIF in.

I have tried capturing audio in: Virtual dub, Sound Recorder, Windows Movie Maker, Audacity.

I cannot get this thing to pic up any audio thats being played into it, i know there is audio when we recorded it, ive watched it on my TV

does anybody know what the hell is wrong man its driving me insane

have you checked what your sound card is set to record from ?

if you have leads plugged into microphone jack on the pc, u will need to set your sound properties to record from microphone

control panel/sound and audio devices then under device volume click advanced button.....

then in the volume control box click options and select properties, then click recording and tick the relevant boxes/ click ok then tick the box under the microphones slider

hope that all makes scence and there is probably an easier way to do it lol

Same board in use here, Just to confirm it's the pink socket that works.

I'd double check sound output is coming from the cam 1st, hook up to a telly preferably, if thats ok then try a different source for the comp, microphone/mp3 player or something and if all that fails try reloading the drivers for the nf4.

A real pain in the a$$ to check but is the karajan sound module attached ok?

/Edit
Just had a thought, when i ran my dfi at a high htt (>290 iirc) the sound crapped out.
