Capturing webcam and saving to a file within a webpage?

Hi,
Does anyone know of an applet which will allow users of a site to record video from their webcam and save it as a file (flv) on the server, like you can on YouTube when you upload your own video?

I'm trying to allow users to post a sign language video as an alternative (or addition) to a text comment on a blog style thing...

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I'm not trying to put down your idea but given that sign language is designed for the deaf or hearing impaired, and if said person is not blind, then surely they can already read the text.

Won't this only alienate those people who do not understand sign language? Given the added overhead (storage and load on your web server) how is this going to enrich your blog?

If you are trying to make your site more accessible to users with a sensory impairment then surely an audio comment would be more beneficial?
