i will be 20 in may and insurance for mey current car is due in june. i will be having a gap year in uni and getting a job (work placement). i would like a new car in the region of 15k.

Im open to car suggestions, i dont know if i should go down the hot hatch field or smart nice field.

Remeber i will be 20 so i dont think ill be able to get insured on type r's, gti's i dont think, unless some one can prove me wrong?? btw ill have 1 year NCB.

or i could get something like a 320 sport coupe 03/04 reg?

Any other ideas?

well im hoping 15k :) if not im sure ill be working after the gap year.

i want the coupe style with the m wheels in either black or gun metal grey, what u think?

but then theres insurance...

well i unsure on what money i shall be getting but i think it would be in the range of 10k at the least to 15k, preferably the 15k obviously. i might have a few quid to put forward but not much as i cant save. The car obviously wouldnt be paid of during one year so id have to get a loan of some description, not many people can buy cars out right (expensive one's). i would probably go for over 4 years which is about right to keep a car for if not 3 years, when ive finished my gap year i will return to part time work but working every second i could do. im not keen on those wheels i wanted the new m type.

this is what i want everything about it is what im looking for but to big engine (insurance , no no)...

The thing is im living at home in uni and dont have many out comes apart from phone, clothes (which takes up most of my income already), petrol and hifi equipment(which ive finished spending on) and thats it.

I use my car so often as i commute to uni and work everyday (not necessarily work everyday but most). So i would like a nice comfortable car so use. i currently have 1.2 clio Y reg which is ok on fuel economy, however im getting bored and had it for 3 years.

As ive said when i go back to uni i will be working again getting a reasonable mount of money a month plus what ever i earnt from gap year to pay for the car.

i will definatly be working even if i dont get a car in my gap year i will spend the money on clothes and wont be able to afford my self when i go back to uni so i will be getting a job. If i ever get into problems im sure my rents would help me out. It could be possioble go back to where im working now and know how much i shall be getting month etc.
