Hi, got my car MOT'd after having a fair bit of work done to it:

Plugs
Oil + Filter
Brake Lines
Ball Joint
Some Mounts (to stop gear knob shaking)
Windscreen crack
Brakes cleaned (sticking)
Lambda Sensor
Headlight Alignment
Some Bulbs
Cost of 2 MOT's

And some other stuff .. It all cost £240 which I thought was ok!

Anyways, now at idle it seems a bit shakey or 'groggy' If I put the gas on till 1000RPM it makes the car shake and vibrations through the wheel!
It's very annoying when pulling away because of this (the clutch is slipping but this isn't the problem as it does it in neutral too) If I put my foot fast on the accelerator it does it too more violently..

What the heck is wrong with it? He drove it up to me, why didn't he notice? Surely it has something to do with fueling? Any one got any ideas? Think I'll take it back tbh but just need an opinion. ( M Reg Clio 1.4)

Thanks.

Could be wrong plugs / wrong plug gaps, also check that the HT leads are all on correctly and havent been damaged when the plugs were changed.

Sounds like a miss?. Go back to the garage and ask them to check the order of the plug leads and as mentioned above, that they haven't damaged a plug fitting them...
:)

MOTs are never done right in our case... last time we had the volvo done they didnt allign up the breaks propperly and it was scraping continuesly. we of couse took it back and got them to sort it out. (for free :D)

the other time they scratched the paint job
that they didnt do up for free so had to splash out 3 quid on a touch up paint. :(

He says because some of the engine mounts have been changed the vibrations are now going through the exhaust area? He's sorting it on Saturday anyway, so not bad i guess.
