hey all,

edging ever closer to my test (booked for the 26th of Oct, but hopefully gonna get a cancellation much sooner)..

Right, as before, got £1,000 to spend, and my only real requirement is a lil bit of street cred and POWER STEERING (it's a must)

In terms of mondeos, I'd love one but the only one I can insure is a diesel one (so I wouldn't bother mentioning any other size engine!!)

So far I'm narrowing my list down to:
Renault Megane 1.4RT/1.6RT
Ford Fiesta 1.25
Ford Mondeo 1.8D
Pug 306TD
Vauxhall Astra 1.4
Vaux Vectra 1.6/Diesel

I prefer bigger cars as you can see - not only can they fit multitudes of drunken students in them but you also seem to get a lot more bang per buck really.

What do you guys think I should go for? Sorry to start a new thread.. :( but I know you guys are pretty good at this and knowledgeable :)

Why not wait until you actually pass your test? Anyway, if you must, I'd probably go with the 306TD.

As would i, depending on how old that and the fezzie is

Wait til you passed your test, then look at buying a Citreon Xsara instead of the 306TD. Same chassis and engines.
