I just came to extend the warranty on my ipace.

when I bought it all of the subscriptions on the car (advance navigation, car anti theft and tracking and the remote apps stuff) all ran out this month.

however I just logged in to work out what to renew and what to let run out and it turns out every subscription item has automatically extended for another 12 months

obviously I am happy about this. Whilst I suspect the only thing I would have paid for is the remote control, having everything update is about £400 with of stuff for free

it certainly limits the pain of the £570 extended warranty which I have had to pay .

am just wondering if this is something JLR have rolled out to everyone as a customer service thing? if not I am wondering if my car was not removed from the fleet it was in before I bought it and it has automatically had all services extended by what ever company had the car before me. (am fairly sure it was a company car given it had 42000 miles on the clock at 2.5 years old)

I just looked up what subscriptions JLR offered. With the number of them being stolen lately (now difficult to insure in London) you would have thought at least this one should be free.

What next? A subscription to lock the door?

The subs ran out on my IPace in October. I only paid to renew the remote. The SatNav doesn't seem to be online anymore so maybe that was part of the £400 renewal - haven't really looked at it as I use Android Auto.

When I bought mine JLR were doing 2 years extended warranty.
What next? A subscription to lock the door?

Using your phone? yes :D
