Yeah the door card has to be removed I believe. Fairly easy job which shoudlnt take any more than 10 minutes first time round
just have to be careful with all the plastic clips
on a fiesta there's:
- 2 bolts at the bottom of the door card, undo these
- the area around the handle (not the door locker handle) needs to be tugged off and 2 screws that hold the handle on removed. Handle then comes off (clip stops it falling off)
- 1 screw on the door locker handle under the plastic cup.
- from the bottom start pulling outwards to un-clip the door from the bottom upwards. once un-clipped pull the door upwards.
- while doing this you need to un-clip the wires to the electric window controls (remember order of the driver-side door plug) and un-clip the door lock handle so you can pull the door card totally off.
yes that's a fiesta guide but i THINK the doors are almost exactly the same.
those speakers really rely on having better powering through a amp of some sort. Budget is a bit tight for all the parts, as i failed to see when making mine, i totally forgot to budget in all the speaker cables, RCA's, wood (for false floors) power cables (very expensive) and all the connectors. On my setup that added another £100 easy.
for £400 you are not going to be able to afford great speakers, and amps, so your gonna have to use standard wiring for those, and the standard output on the new HU (normally around 40-60watt) Standard speakers on fords are 25watt. Do you want to replace all 4?

that's from caraudiodirect. you will still need a crimper and a cable connector set from somewhere like B&Q
its not ideal. I wouldn't personally bother with the sub, just use the money saved on getting better speakers, and maybe a amp/cabling for them.
