Hi all,

I gotz a 06 plate Ford Focus which has the basic 6000cd in it.

I want to update this to a nice looking unit that let me plug in me iphone, also it would be nice to keep the use of the controller thingy on the steering wheel.

I was looking at the Alpine CDE-9882ri but I wonder if thats a bit of overkill...looks great though.

I also dont mind the look of the Pioneer DEH-3200UB

any one know about these two or any others I could look at?

Also what will I need to do, just pop out the old one and plug in the new one or is there a converter cable connector thingy I might need.

cheers

Do you have the CD changer atm?

In my mondeo, because I didn't have a cd changer I was able to connect a wire to the oem head unit and use that as an aux lead :)

Did a forum search and found a good few threads with some useful information...I also think I will go for the Pioneer DEH-3200UB. I dunno what it is, I just like the look of it :D

It looks like I'll need to buy a wiring thingy that converts the Ford standard into som ISO standard which the Pioneer should take, also there is a cable connector thingy for the steering wheel controls so thats cool to. Hopefully the ariel connector is a standard across all steroes!

Oh yeah and a facia replacement so i dont end up with a gap
