Hi,

I need a connector like this but half the size (i.e. just the half with the wire going into it). Anyone know what they're called so I can google where to source one please?

pretty specific. Your pic is a "Antenna Turn on for selected Mercedes radios with a quadlock connection
Connect to back of the quadlock on Mercedes Audio 10,15 and 20 radio units to turn on the antenna"

And as such it will only fit certain Merc cars.

Not sure one half the size exists as the double one in that pic is only meant to fit Mercedes

AFAIK all quadlock connectors are 16 pin. What are you trying to connect it to? A Sony stereo?

You could buy one and cut it in half?

Yeah, I bought a Sprinter van for a conversion and wanted to install a Sony head unit so that I had a reverse parking camera screen and CarPlay. Dynamic Sounds sold me a kit to fit it and everything works except for the FM/AM radio! I was certain the adapter they sold me to connect the unit to the car didn't have all of the right pins and after googling to looks like the antenna needs to be powered, which is done by a purple wire that goes into the top section of the quadlock. Unfortunately the adapter only has wiring to the bottom section.

The blue circle is where the head unit currently has the aerial power cable going to (blank hole on the female version of the connector). The red hole is there the rest of the quadlock connector wiring sits, including the aerial power cable.

I might just buy the one I screenshotted and try to splice it into the blue bit at the bottom but it's not cheap at £18 delivered. Pain in the bum! This radio is costing me a fortune...

Couldnt you just get a pin and wire it yourself into the blank hole?

They are complete kits but you get my gist?

I mean, it's just method of securely making connections with the socket in the back of whatever it is.

You can improvise in whatever method you like, solder the wires directly onto the pins etc.

I'd say the above though of buying the full one and cutting it in half would probably be the easiest.
