A car bomb has exploded near a courthouse in Newry, County Down.
A detective said it was "a sheer miracle no-one was injured or killed". Police were evacuating the area when it went off at about 2240 GMT.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 2200 GMT following reports of a suspicious car near the court.
Bomb warnings were also received by a hospital and a number of businesses in the city. Motorists have been advised to avoid the area.

Mother****ing ****s.

Too many arsewipes still in this country trying to undo everything.

How close do you live to the police station skippi??

Been a few more reports of stuff like this happening over the last couple of months (thinking there was a pipe bomb attack on the york road police station last month i think). Shouldn't achieve anything though thankfully, got a feeling devolved government can stand up to this stuff now. (theres another report out today that the Gard's in the south have been arresting more people in connection with dissident republican action in donnegal)

I don't live in the town itself. Just outside. About 3 mile from the Police Station.

When I was growing up this was the norm and in truth am not shocked by it. I would even go as far as to say am indifferent to it. The people that were doing this back in the 70s when I was a child are now sitting in government, now that is what I find otherly sickening.

A security alert is under way in north Belfast following the discovery of a suspicious vehicle.
The Rosevale Street area has been cordoned off and a number of residents have been evacuated from their homes as a precaution.
Army bomb experts are attending the scene and traffic in the area is being diverted.
Meanwhile, police have closed the Lough Road leading into Lurgan due to a separate security alert.

most of these sorts of explosions are done by the police/gov/intelligence agencies to create fear in the public, to divide the public, to create an enemy and to bring in more laws and take away your rights.

Excellent the IRA were just another conspiracy theory now, the hunger strikers were just a few skinny guys in a film studio? are you for real or just a troll?

I hoped we'd seen the back of things like this but I can't say I'm surprised there are too many people with too many issues and way too much hatred.
