Last Friday I took the morning off to clean up and hopefully sell my Mum's Micra (The car i learnt to drive in!).

I gave it a uber-hoover. Even removing the spare wheel and cleaning it up and the well it sits in!

I then gave it a very thorough wash, infast the most thorough was it's EVER had!

It didn't look half-bad at all to be honest considering it's 16years old!

Anyway, the chap who arranged to come round turned up. A nice bloke, I took him for a test drive and flexed my sales skills which I havnt used for a while (Really enjoyed selling, always have though) and sure enough he bought the car for £325. Not bad on my part and he was happy. (Infact I think he paid more than the car was worth but I was not willing to admit that)

He was buying the car for his daughter as a suprise gift (no specific event).

Anyway, 4:25 this morning we get a call from the Police saying that our Micra has been driven around Bristol erratically and then when the 3 lads in the car stopped and were approached they all ran away.

As the V5 must not of been processed yet then the car is still ours according to the database. We passed on the new info to the Police and they were going to contact the new owner (we fortunately had a telephone number).

Anyway, it has just made me mad!

I spent a few hours cleaning it up. Me and Dad did a few jobs including replacing the front brakes (wish we didn't now so the idiots ended up dead in a ditch) and starter motor. So a fair few hours spent on it.

Then comes along the new owner and what a great and pleasant thing to do, buy this car for his daughter.

Then some complete ****s come along and steal it and have probably screwed it up!

RANT OVER!

My Mum has spoken with the new owner.

Turns out the Micra was stolen and then joy rided around.

The gearbox is now screwed as is the relatively new clutch. I assume it will be written off.

The new owner had to pay £100 to get the car out of the police pound.

OK, at the end of the day we got our money for the car, doesn't make this any nicer a situation.

If I knew it was gonna be stolen I wouldnt of fitted new brakes to the front (there was literally no pad left  ) so the little ****** would have killed themselves.
