Hey all.

I recently bought a car from Vauxhall.

They took £250 deposit, follwed by £750 more when I picked the car up.

They have just rang me stating that they have no proof that they ever took the £250.

I have no debit card till receipts to prove I have.
I will go through my bank statements.

If it turns out they did not take the money, do I have an obligation to pay it? They photocopied my card and it is their fault they cocked it up.

If the payment was never taken, but agreed to then of course it will need to be paid.

If the finance hasn't already been run through then perhaps they can add it on as above.

If you have actually paid it then show then the transaction on your statement then tell them to bugger off

This is my thoughts.

A bit miffed as I eagerly rang them back because I had a letter today stating my first finance payment was late....the ***** at Vauxhall had got my account details wrong. Thought they were calling about the finance.
