For the past week or 2 I have noticed some noise coming from the front of my car when braking
A week.

I think maybe you should take it to a mechanic, I dunno really I mean it's only your brakes on the car you drive.

I'd be more inclined to say low pads or disc. The effort required to actually warp a disc is phenomenal and I'm yet to encounter anyone to do it outside of a track...
Did it on my astra on my old disks. Done it again on my new disks and there 6k old!
I will buy vented disks this time
Really? The times I've seen pads down to the metal, horrific squealing has ensued, and it does it at all speeds and brake applications.
Maybe you're right. Long time since I've driven round in a car with very low thicknesses.
How much would you expect it to cost to do the following including parts and labour:
Replace front brake pads, adjust handbrake, clean brake pipes, replace passenger side steering arm and replace driver side wishbone.
Parts would be:
Discs £40-50
Pads £20-30
Steering Arm £20?
Wishbone £40-50?
Ask the garage/mechanic for how many hours labour he's quoting. Should be around 3-4 hours max I would say.
