Car in for its tuning and I have to make do with a courtesy car (added pics)

Cars gone in for its cam, exhaust, cat, valve gubbins and remap

As they are doing a lot of work for me and they haven't got their clio courtesy cars from the dealer yet I had to make do with what they had....

So I am currently driving with the biggest smile on my face as I have their Astra VXR demo car!

Rock on!

Whilst not a patch on the M3 is it MANIC

its pulling about 270 through the front wheels and running a KW v2 setup with a very lairy map

She torque steers all over the shop and spins up when the turbo kicks in, which you cant help but do in every gear

The map is not perfect and she overfuels a little so pops on lift off and the throttle is a little snatchy but damnit I feel like I am 17 in an xr2 all over again

The fact that she is only at stage 2 with the stage 3 going on it shortly is quiet scary

The Vauxhall VRX graphics and the "Lambo" doors are uber chav but suit it for a show car (I get more attention in it than the M3, but from spotty cap wearing teenagers!)

The Miltek exhaust sounds amazing and if mine sounds half as good I will be chuffed

If they can make this car such fun and handle as well as it does due to the constraints of the fwd layout I am even more excited about what mine will be like

Battery in camera is dead but on charge so pics tomorrow

I will get my misses to video it if I get a chance.

The car itself seems very well put together (has only done 11k) but the interior does seem a bit cheap but it is the same on the entire range.

she certainly pics up very quickly when she finds grip and the KW suspension is not to firm but gives fantasic feel, had the back drifting out on some big roundabouts and all felt very controlled

The guy did say it was something to play with for the week ;)

in all seriousness I am treating her well and letting her warm up etc, not ragging her just pushing her a bit hard when the situation allows

Is it faster then the m3?

no

I don't think it would embarase itself but it can't uses all its power and even if it did is still wouldn't beat it in a drag race, add corners to it and it would lose out even more.

Do they all have lambo doors?

Was having a play on some roundabouts in a quiet industrial estate a few weeks ago when a blue one came flying up behind me.

At first I thought it was an unmarked copper, so slowed down and sheepishly prepared to pull over... until he went steaming past and took the roundabouts at double the speed I did

Bet that's loads of fun :D

The Lambo doors are a bit random though, normally when they are on a show car the car in question has loads of body kit, 93" chromies etc so they kind of fit in with the look.

That VXR has....some graphics. Other than that, it's completely stock externally, so the Lambo doors just look out of place

I bet thats one hell of a fun car :D

How long is the M3 in for?

I agree with Drexel the lambo doors do look out of place on a car that has a stock exterior apart from some graphics. But then the car isnt finished yet so maybe there is more planned?

That is a suprise from what you where saying in msn - I thought it would be some old banger like a 2cv

So what time you taking me out this evening for a drive :p

Treat it as a hire car and thrash it to within an inch of its life. It's the only way. :D
I would wear shades and a hat though. ;)

Engine in the Astra sounds slightly decent, but Lambo doors? *Sigh* Fairly silly.
