My mate hasn't got access to the internet at the moment, so am typing this for him.

He has the same head unit as me which is a Ripspeed DV725 DVD player with 7" pop up screen. Underneath the ripspeed brand, it is actually an Alpine and is quite a nice little stereo.

He also has a Navman ICN 530 which is a very good sat nav system.

He is now on the search for a bluetooth car kit to run through the stereo.

He has found one called the Nokia CK-7W which he can get for around the £70 mark but for professional fitting through the stereo he is lookin at around another £120 so say £200 all in.

The other option i have given him is to buy the new Pioneer Avic HD1BT which is just over £1k but it has -

A built in hard drive
Is a double din for watchin dvd's still
Has built in Sat-Nav
Has built in bluetooth hands-free and can dial numbers from it with voice recognition so you can upload the phone book.

And tons of other features.

So my question to you guys is, what do you think he should do? Just get a car kit, and have that in one place, his phones in a mount and sat-nav on another mount with another charger, or sell the stuff he has and get the all in one AVIC device which he could use his 40gb ipod with too?

Thanks,

Andy
