Car Management / Design Games

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if there's any decent modern / moderish car or racing management sims out there these days? I'm thinking something like the old F1 management sims or good ol' Detriot which I used to be addicted to.

I've done some googling but can only find online things which don't appeal to me at all

There was a game posted in the motors forum a while ago which was all about designing a car. It looked pretty in-depth but for the life of me I can't find it. I do remember it clearly though, started out from scratch designing your engine then working up to a complete car. I guess it was posted in motors because it was fairly technical and didn't exactly look like a game, more of an educational tool.
