Car Misfiring...?

Hi all,

I am having a but of a problem again, when more then one person is in the car (not done it yet with just me in it) when I pull away at highish revs, moved out of junction when I shouldn’t of, or something of the sort it will go.... then loose a lot of power then gradually gain speed again thus making me crawl out of a junction which you can imagine is quite dangerous. It only seems to do it if there is more then one person weight in the car.

Is it misfiring or something else?

Car = Corsa 1.2 "P Reg”

if thats a misfire it will be plainly obvious to hear and will likely make the car judder like a mofo.

Does the engine sound rough when it happens?

My Elise kept on going onto 3 cylinders whenever it was wet. A new set of leads and plugs later and all is hunkey dorey

I think its just because of the huge 1200cc 8v engine

Another cause chould be your fuel pump not being able to provide enough petrol with such short notice.

When you say it loses power do the revs drop or does it just not pull away quickly?

Mine (1.2 8v P reg corsa) did that when the plugs and leads needed changing.

My Focus seems to do this every so often as well as the occasional trouble starting it. Seems to of happened ever since they changed the HT leads when it had a major service. Been too lazy to do anything about it though.

I think that the revs drop a little and i have just changed the plugs and leads what you think bout changing the dissy cap? Might make a difference?

For the 1st second it feels like its going to race away then... drops and doesnt and just rolls away
