Car on Autotrader

You should have reset the average fuel consumption readout and driven the car at 40mph in 6th for half a mile or so prior to taking the photo, to back up the MPG claims

BMW Auc photos are the worst ever though :p

The quality of mine when I used to do them were good! They are changing the guidelines soon aswell so upto 10 photo's will be on the site.

Is it necessary to say the v5 is present?

Do what Howard said, and fill the tank - a picture of the needle on the empty line makes you look like a bit of a *****. That's the position mine is on at the moment, because I haven't got around to filling it up, but you get the point

You look at the position of the needle and then judge the owner of the car?!

Yea, I don't think joe public would dismiss the car because of the petrol gauge in the image.

I don't think anyone would dismiss it soley on that, but nobody wants a car that's been run on the cheap - combine that with budget tryes and service stamps from kwik fit and I'd probably not bother, for example.

The op may be like me and just not had time to fill it recently, or may be the type that puts in a fiver each time

V5 present makes you sound like a trader.

Super LOL at the fuel gauge thing, totally doesn't matter.

I do sell cheap cars aswell on ebay and always put this. Do you think i should not put this on my own car?

Of course not. Why put it? It's only useful at auction where there are reasons why there is no v5.

Of course the v5 is present, It's your car.

The only time i would even mention the V5 is if its not there, otherwise people will just assume it is.
