Car options for family of four and a large golden retriever!

Please tell me a van isn't my only choice!

Budget of £20k and looking at nearly new estate and SUVs to pack the usual gear for two under two, and a large dog. Our "16 XC90 served us well but was getting too expensive to maintain - I would replace with the same but cant afford a newer model. The 5 series tourer and Skoda Superb estate look great. Accepted if you have a long weekend anywhere the roof box is going on for the extra space we would need for luggage and travel cots etc.

Anyone else in a similar position to myself, what did you choose as your family wagon?

Skoda Superb gets good reviews. It is a pretty big car though. An Octavia would be a smaller choice.

Skoda Superb unless you want an SUV, but the boot will be smaller in those.

in all honesty dont know if this works for the OP but test driving one of these tomorrow for the daughter mobility.

Superb is a good shout or a Kodiaq, which I think has a bigger boot litre wise but isn't as long. I've managed a few family trips in mine with 6 people and 2 dogs with everyone keeping their luggage on their laps

How about something like the jap imports, Elgrand, estima etc?

Seat Ateca, same chassis as a Tiguan but cheaper but still get some goodies
