Right, so in the 2007 Astra, I'd like to pull out the stock radio and fit a nice Sony one (probably). I currently have one in my old Corsa that's pretty good (Main feature being Bluetooth that I use to sync with my iPod and stream music to the car radio), but I'd like some advice on getting it fitted.

The stock Astra radio is a big'un so I've bought the fascia that looks like this:

So: Which cables do I need? I've had a chat with a guy in Halfords and he wrote down for me: Connect2 CTSVX002 for which they charge £72.99 , which will connect up the head unit to the steering wheel controls, and then a patch cable which will depend on the brand which go for £4.99 each...

Is this the same thing? I noticed it said for 'Blaupunkt head units' in the description, but I have a feeling it might just be compatible with any brand, depending on the patch cable I use?

One final thing: They call it 'stalk control', but I'm assuming this is the same as the steering wheel controls?

Sorry for the silly questions

Ah thanks a lot. It looks like the one I linked to in the first post was the correct one!

You can get away with just the harness adaptor but it would bug me not being able to use the steering wheel/stalk controls.
