Right, so in the 2007 Astra, I'd like to pull out the stock radio and fit a nice Sony one (probably). I currently have one in my old Corsa that's pretty good (Main feature being Bluetooth that I use to sync with my iPod and stream music to the car radio), but I'd like some advice on getting it fitted.
The stock Astra radio is a big'un so I've bought the fascia that looks like this:
So: Which cables do I need? I've had a chat with a guy in Halfords and he wrote down for me: Connect2 CTSVX002 for which they charge £72.99
, which will connect up the head unit to the steering wheel controls, and then a patch cable which will depend on the brand which go for £4.99 each...
Is this the same thing? I noticed it said for 'Blaupunkt head units' in the description, but I have a feeling it might just be compatible with any brand, depending on the patch cable I use?
One final thing: They call it 'stalk control', but I'm assuming this is the same as the steering wheel controls?
Sorry for the silly questions
