My next door neighbours daughter reversed into my car last weekend, give her her due she knocked on my door about 11.30 last Saturday night and said sorry can I see how much it will cost to repair.

I have had two quotes one £1200 and the other £1400, when I told her she has demanded me to get quotes for only the damage not for blending in of one side, it's sort of gone from friendly to her being a bit off and avoiding giving me her insurance details, there's a firm thats been suggested before that gets you a hire car of similar spec to yours, who are they, I'm want to 'let the dogs out' if you know what I mean.

Thanks

Helphire.

If she's playing hard ball. go to the police, she'll get ****ed for failing to report an accident, and they'll pass her insurance details on to you.

However, you do need to be careful here, as without her admitting liability, it could be quite difficult.

She has caused damaged to your car - it is not up to her to dictate how its repaired. You simply present her with the bill - if she cannot or will not pay it, go through her insurers.

Agreed with what Fox said really, I'd expect her (or her insurers if the wants to go through them) to pay to have the car restored to at least the condition it was in before the incident, nothing less would be acceptable.

She's admitted liabilty in front of three of us here last Saturday, I'm sure she thinks it's should cost a couple of hundred quid.

It needs a new door and rear arch repairing and the side blowing in, it's black metalic so not a good one for just spraying the damaged area only.

She's had her chance but it's not gone her way with the cost. Now she's getting up herself.
Phone the police and also recommend driving lessons to her.

Tried to ring her this morning, left a message and text her but no response so I've set Direct line onto her, Drive Assist have phoned and arranged a hire car and as I have business insurance he car will be equal or better and UK Assistance will ring me about repair.

Any one got a glass's guide, whats a 54 plate Mazda 6 TS diesel with 115k on it worth? the repairs will be £1200 - 1400 plus the admin and hire car etc, I wonder if they will write it off?

Hahahahahah get this,

I set Direct Line (my insurer) onto her because she hadn't given me her details and I got the very nice call from Drive Assist and the authorised repairer offering me everything unnder the sun, equal car delivered etc.

She phoned me last night to tell me her insurance was with Churchill, I phoned direct line who are now back tracking because they are one of the same firm, they want me to go and get a a car from enterprise at the local airport, is a punto ok sir, ha ha no, I'll have some games now hee hee

Lol

should have used Europa or Helphire, they would have prevented you having to deal with the back tracking after finding out they are ripping off themselves.
