Car stereo + Ipod mini

i want a stereo that plays mp3s + Ipod interface connector (that allows me to control my Ipod from the Head unit),

how many of you have something like that/how do you find using it?


ive got an ipod mini full of mp3, i dont like changing cds all the time in my car stereo so i want to buy something that will allow me to have a lot of songs at one time ,

what do you recommend (budget 250 quid),

currently ive got a KDC-3031 but want to change it for something that will allow me to connect my ipod mini + control it from the stereo,

I've got an Alpine 9847 with the ipod interface and I'm finding it very good

You need to have your ipod organised though otherwise it won't be that simple to find songs etc, luckily I'm a bit obsessive like that

Got mind as part of a bundle from Halfords (don't laugh) for £200 installed. Can't fault it. The HU it's top of the range but that's not I wanted, for the price I could argue. Alpine also do some HU's with this glide bar thing on it which is suppost to help with searching but I tried it out and I wasn't impressed

i'll go to halfords and check if they do this deal in new malden (london),
i'm not going to pay £200 + £40 for installation,
but £200 for this sounds good for me,
