Hello all,
I am having some problems with the JVC CD Player in my Car. A few days ago was when the first sign occurred, i was driving off somewhere (to work i think) and when i started up the engine there was no sound from the Stereo, i tried turning it on using the power button and nothing (The stereo is never turned off though so always starts up with the engine). After a couple of goes switching it on it started up and was fine for a few days, until last night. I was off around a mate and started up the car and nothing came from the stereo, i therefore tried turning it on a few times and the most i got was 5 seconds before it cut out
. Now when i turn off the ignition, remove front of CD Player for a few seconds, place it back and turn on ignition the display flashed on for a second before cutting out . My question to you is does this sound like a wiring issue or has as i suspect the head unit died?
Current Head unit is a JVC KD-S723R
Car its in is a Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec (September 2001 Reg if this makes any differance)
If so any head unit recommendation's,i have an Ipod Video so would also like to be able to connect this to the new head unit if possible but don't want to spend a fortune either say around £100?
Any views on this would be appreciated as i have no idea on car stereos.
