I have a year 2000 micra.

The drivers window is attached to the winding mechanism (windows are manual not electric) by two square things on each side near the bottom that are glued to it.

One of them has come off and when I try to wind the window up it sort of rotates and cannot close - It struggles to get half closed.

I know the bit that has come unglued needs to be re-glued, but do any of you know if it can be done by any independant garage or is it a job for nissan?
The job will be very simple but I am pressed for time tomorrow and cannot fit in driving round all the independants and the nearest Nissan to me is quite a way.

I need it fixed by friday as have to drive to work but as it is I cannot wind the window up at all - I am sure a chav would love to throw a McDonalds milkshake in!

Thanks:)

Can't be much more than just pulling the doorcard of and glueing it back on can it? I'm sure you could do the job yourself in about an hour.
