Hi all,
It's been a while since I posted anything here, but I wonder if anyone of you knows of a possible fix to my issue. I have recently upgraded my business laptop to a Lenovo Carbon X1 Gen 13. £2.5k laptop and as much as I love using touchpad gestures, this laptop's touchpad is just crap. It can be quite unresponsive when I use two fingers to scroll up/down or zoom. Even when I double-tap to hold to move something or highlight text, etc, sometimes the double-tap is not recognised until I try again. It feels like there are dead spots on the touchpad surface, but only when using more than one finger.
By default, Microsoft's generic HID drivers were installed; Lenovo's drivers don't work with the touchpad. I tried the latest ELAN Precision TouchPad drivers from Microsoft Update and they work but made no difference.
The scrolling and zoom, etc, mostly work, but it stutters. When scrolling fast, it's not noticeable, but when going slow it just stops.
My old Surface Pro 3 and 5 and HP Envy touchpad work perfectly.
Is this an ELAN thing or a Windows 11 thing? Or is it a faulty touchpad?
Is there anything else I can try?
