Hey everyone
I recently upgraded to a 290x from a 7850 but I'm finding its struggling with some games with 4x+ Msaa at 1440p.
I've been looking around it there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of improvement from other newer cards within a reasonable price range. Something like a titan would obviously be a lot better but its what i would consider way outside a reasonable price range.
When it comes to AA and res is memory the only factor? If so would an 8gb card sort out my problems? Or are 8gb cards at the moment bottlenecked by their slower clocks? Even all the new amd and nvidia cards seem to be 4gb cards as well which sort of baffles me.
My dream card would basically be one that can do a downsampled res of 3200x1800 with 4xmsaa with room to spare for Reshade smaa, sharpening etc....under 500 if thats possible. Is there such a thing? Specs wise they all seem pretty close but maybe I'm missing something. A frame rate of 25fps is acceptable for me, i prefer a crisp image over smoothness.
I wouldn't want to touch crossfire or SLI since it seems like a bit of a headache with not all games supporting it.
