Hello Guy's,
It's one of those 'whats the best' type questions i'm affraid

...a card with 1gb onboard ram, clock speed at 600mhz,GDDR2.....or a card with just 500mb onboard ram but with a higher clock speed 750mhz,GDDR3....which one would be best for gaming?

Thanks
c

Probably the second DDR2 is old hat. Whats the model numbers as there are other factors to consider as well.

Well to be honest i'm looking for a card with 1gb memory and relatively cheap......and very quiet! I did have my eye on the:

1GB XFX Radeon HD4650 ( i like the passive cooling)

My current card is a sapphire 4670

that's a pointless change in card. just stick with what you've got unless you're having issues with it :)

That would be a waste fo cash to be fair.

If you know how you could always buy a third party passive cooler for the 4670, they produce little heat as it is.

Higher memory doesn't always mean better ;)

Depends what you want it for, gaming I presume? Have a look here and buy anything above your 4670 (or a 5xxxx series). Keep in mind your PSU limitations (if you have any).
