Im looking to upgrade my graphics card and ill be honest im a little dismayed that you can not find accurate dimensions on cards. Whilst they will obviously vary depending on the manufacturer.

Just a bit frustrating that i have some cash to burn but instead of drooling over the increased performance all i can think about is will it fit into my Scout case?!

are there any recent cards out there (in the £200-£300 bracket that are 267mm?

Most 6950's (with exception of perhaps the Asus DCUII) hit under the 10.5" mark (267mm = 10.51" roughly), therefore I would presume the 6970's would also fit under this?

I just checked the sub-venders specification pages to check the cards dimensions, as I had space limits for my NZXT Gamma (max of about 10.7"), and then went shopping.

Ended up with a pair of XFx 6950 2gb cards that were a little over 10" long.

thanks a lot for the reply, i was looking at the Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6950 2048MB when checking the sapphire site. it says 260mm, but another retailer said it was 275mm.

just makes me nervous about forking out for a card only to have to make some case mods if they are even possible.

Just make sure that its the exact same model ID on both the sapphire site and the retailers site, I know from buying my XFX cards that there were 4 models of the same spec card, varying on display connections.

Also check what heatsink/fan setup the card your looking at has, I can see at least 4 different 6950 2gb designs on the sapphire product page, 3 of which look like reference designs while the other 'dirt 3 edition' looks to be a custom cooler (dual fan).
