Hi,

Recently I've tried to play videos at 19020x1080 (not through a blu ray disc) and it looks like my system is too slow to run it smoothly. CPU is a s939 3700+ on stock with a 7800gt. I was wonder if those newer cards like the ATI HD3xxx series will be able to take some of the load of my cpu. Also I am still on XP, will that be a problem?

thanks in advance,

RK

your knackered mate .. i have the same processor ...from *** ive read u need a dual core minimum .. ive hook up my external 360 hd-dvd drive up abit of a jerkfest tbh , althoug i was using a 7300gt lol .. will have my new 8800gt tmoz and will see *** happens .... but i'm almost certain its cpu dependant

I guess what I am really trying to ask is if Hardware decoding going to work on XP and also if I need any special software/codecs to get it working.

thanks.

power dvd 7 or higher is your best option . but like i said your cpu needs to be dual core.
