I need to build a new pc in the new year, had far too many incidents with this laptop and it's just not reliable. So I'm going for a desktop with the christmas pay, should have done years ago.
Anyway, a mate of mine reckons the onboard intel HD3000 will be enough but that just doesn't seem right, even with an i7 and 16gb of ram.

Accuracy is not an issue any CAD work I do rarely gets used, and if it does it gets looked over and altered by a professional first so i shouldn't need a pro card.
What do you, the good men and women of OCUK recommend?

Under £150 preferably.

I presume its £150 for a gfx card, not for the system

As such I'd look at something like 560 for the top end of your budget, which would also allow you to dabble in some games now and then, or you could drop back and just get a simple 520 which would take the load off your CPU

I read it as only had a laptop, slightly confusing, and also I have had 3 hours sleep since 3pm yesterday so am rather tired!
