card help

i bought a PowerColor ATI Radeon X850 XT 256MB DDR3 VIVO TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail (GX-058-PC) from over clockers, this card has replaced a PowerColour 9800 Pro

i bought this card so that i could play call of duty 2, with the radeon 9800 pro my fps was about 80 - 100 and with the new x850xt my fps is 25-30 and the game is unplayable i am using the exact same config i used with the 9800 pro this mean i have all the same settings, i have also tired putting all the options on performance in the Catalyst Control Center but this made no difference, i have not overclocked the card at all, has any one experienced anything like this or does anyone know what my problem is who could help me.

The game may have been on DX7 mode for the 9800pro (hence the high frames) then reverted to DX9 mode for the X850 (hence the not so high frames).

I played the game all the way thru on DX7 mode because of its poor performance (especially when there was heaps of smoke), i think a lot of other people did too.

yeah i was thinking it could have been this but i checked and it isnt, also because i am using the exact same config all the settings i had with the 9800 pro are the same as the ones i have now.

could it possible be something to do with maybe my ram or psu not having enough clought.

my psu is a measly 350 watt
and i have 512 pc3200 ddr400

Did you fully remove your graphics drivers, and reinstall them.
