Card now or october time...

Basically i could buy about £300 card next week or wait to my bday in october and buy any card i want.
Will there be any new card out by then, like a H2950xtx or something?

If you can wait a little bit later, Nvidia's next gen is due end of the year sometime as far as I'm aware.

if your current system is doing what you want it to do for the time being their seems to be no reason to upgrade as Quad cores will be dual core prices, x38 chip will be out and G92 gpu's will be released by near end of this year ready for DX10 titles .

There is no 2950's, the 2900 512mb, and the same card but with 1gb of GDDR4 is it for ATi till next year, Nvidia's next card the G92 is supposedly October/November, so as above if you can wait... but if you can't then for £300 your only choice is Nvidia and the GTX as ATi are only competing with the slower GTS till next year.
