I have a pov 8800 gts 512 and now when playing cod4 it freezes bout every 30 secs in game (have to start task manager then enter the game again to un-freeze it)

also some textures are green/ pink and sometimes missing, temps are 76 full load but always were.

I have an RMA but im wondering if my psu (corsair 620) could be causing this ?

I dont have any way to test either before sending the card back.

Have you tried other titles?. I think you should use Driver Sweeper, remove all Nvidia graphic drivers. Install a new set and see if the problem remains.

Ill try cleaning the drivers, i also dual boot and this is happening on both systems which makes me belive its hardware related.

Wow. Psychedelic man.

I hope the driver clean out will work and that you can return back to your gaming. If not then I think an RMA might be the only option. Have you got anyone in your area (family, friend) that you could visit to test out this card?. I've only had my Corsair HX 620 for about 8 months and had no trouble yet.

Have you looked at the fan on the card and check for any dust build up?.

If it's happening on dual boot then it's looking like it's the card although I hope you get it sorted without the need of an RMA. Good luck.

Try ati tool and artifact checker heat can be the issue try artifact checking at what you have your fan at now then make the fan run at 100% and see if same happens or even try that on cod4.

Thx for the replies guys, i cleaned drivers and installed 175.16 whql for vista64 and still the same so i sent it back via rma...if it comes back not faulty il check for heat.

:( I hope the turnaround isn't too long for you and you get back a card without problems. Good luck.
