Card problem?

Hi,
I recently bought a Ledteck 7600GT.
Since then, I have had a problem with one of my games.
I assume this is graphic card related as it begun to happen when I made the change but I also changed my two IDE cables at the same time too.
And I also tend to use a few registry cleaners/tweakers daily as well :o so it may be unrelated.

The problem is that when I quit this game, either from fullscreen or a window, I am sometimes unable to interact with anything using the mouse. The cursor moves but doesn't seem to work any further. Pressing ctrl+alt+del turns the cursor into a timer icom for a split second but task manager never appears.
I am forced to physically power off the computer.
There is nothing of note in the event log.
I have the latest drivers.

Now, I would normally assume this was a power or heating issue (although that is probably wrong, I am unsure).
However the game in question is the multiplayer side of Elite Force, a game over 6 years old.
I have played other games, from command and conquer generals, to the FEAR demo, to prey and the medival2 demo and this hasn't happened once with these. I have also used the PC to watch fullscreen videos on the tv, again with no problem.
Surely this would be more demanding on my pc?
Having said that, the game in question is an opengl one I believe and also the only one I play online, so perhaps that is of some relevance?

Any help would be appreciated :)
