Had ago again at trying to get my old card reader to work on W7 ... stilll no luck. The only thing that works on it is the 2 LEDs that say its working and the USB.

It does seem to pick up my SD card but it keeps connecting, disconnecting etc.

Any ideas?

I hate to ask but you have tried disconnecting the card reader from the USB header? Possibly tried another header if you have more than one?

its a cheap thing i bought from hong kong on ebay. It seemed to work with windows XP windows vista and windows 7 RC on my other computer. Just when i bought W7 home premium 64bit it stopped working.

There is nothing right with that sentence i wrote but its true. It worked before.

Ah ok, I'm out then lol.

I wondered if it was a card reader supplied with a motherboard that sometimes need their own drivers before they will actually do anything.
