Card Size

Hi,
I built myself a computer about 18 months ago. Its doing well, i can play any game i want at 1280*1024. I have a 17inch monitor and a 8800GTS 512mb card.

I've been considering getting a new bigger monitor, either 22inch or 24inch.

Which is fine, but this will then put more strain on my graphics card.

My question is are there any new graphics cards that are the same size as my 8800 GTS? I saw a 9800 GTX and its huge!! How big are the nvidia 260's?

My other option is maybe get another 8800, but i would prefer to get a 260 to be honest, i just dont know how big it is (ie length).

Also are they loud? my 8800 is really quiet.

about 11 inches ( I think) what case do you have? also, @ 22inch, depending on what games you play, that card should be okay

I have a coolermaster ATCS similar to the ellite 334. Do you think its worth getting the 260 then or staying with the 8800.

Why not see how your 8800 does with the games you play at the higher res. then you can make a more informed choice.

A gtx260 would be a great choice over the current gts, even if you do upgrade your monitor to a 22/24''. For example im using an 8800gts 512 on a 24'' monitor and it plays most things pretty well at 1920x1200. A gtx260 would be a good improvement on your current card.
