card stopped working

ive got a 480gtx which was working fine till i put a new cpu cooler on. now its says there is no nivida hardware detected. ive tried taking it out and putting it back in, ive also noticed that that fan is still working on the card
 
When you say there's no NV hardware detected, is that when trying to install drivers, or are the drivers saying no hardware detected once loaded into Windows?


If it's the latter, try reinstalling them.
 
installed a fresh copy of the drivers, it still came with no hardware detected.
checked both pcie cables plugged into the card, and the fan still spins, which i guess the pcie's power?
 
the copy i tried to instal was wrong, i have installed the correct one and now is working fine :)
