Card Testing

Can someone please tell me how i would go about testing my video card?I want to check make sure there is nothing wrong with it as i am having problems with high settings in games.

Card is 6600gt on agp
Drivers are 81.98 and have tried others.
Have got 3dmark 06 but not sure what i should do with it(settings ie).

Well i have posted already on this topic but i am having the problem below

and the game isn't even on high settings.Aparently the game (Sniper Elite) isn't a very graphics demanding game.

Well i have ran the test and here are the results,but i don't know what they mean.

If that means that my card is working ok,then why am i getting this problem in games?

Have used drivers 77.77 and 81.98 so far and i am about to try 78.01 but no luck so far.I did see another slightly different problem in another game but only happened once,it was the outline of a bush and it showed in light blue.I don't have many more games that i can test.

Is there any other programs out there that could test to see if my card is faulty?

Like i said in my last post it has showed wierd things on 2 games which are the only 2 i have installed at the moment.I don't seem to be able to find a patch anywhere for this game yet.SOmething makes me think it is happening when AA is enabled in the game,does my card not support it?

Do you have a link to ATI tool and some guide on what to do with it?

My card temp is only 60-61 under load.
I will give ATI tool a try and see what that comes up with.

Well i just tried ATI tool and ran it for 30 mins and did't find any artifacts i don't think.How long should i run this for?

Haven't tried any other games yet,will try today if possible.Good game recomendation to test the card?

Have tried 3dmark but weren't sure what i were doing or looking for.

No i haven't tried the card in another pc as the only other pc's i have access to are not very high spec.

I don't have either of those 2 games neither do any of my friends,is there any others?

The only thing i can seem to think maybe the problem is AA because when i select higher settings in the game it starts to use AA and that is when i seem to get problems.Is it possible to use the setting for AA in 3Dmark 06? Just that when i try to it just comes up with a box saying Send error report.

I will try it in another pc as soon as i get the chance and see what happens.

This shouldn't happen - you should be able to select AA in your drivers and 3D Mark will run as normal

How do i go about doing this?

I do have FarCry and will test it later.I did have a problem with FarCry when i first got my card but there was a patch which solved that.Could it possibly be a DirectX problem? I have 9.0c is there a way to overwrite and install over the top to be sure?

Well i tried FarCry and it was ok.

This shouldn't happen - you should be able to select AA in your drivers and 3D Mark will run as normal

I still need to know how to go about doing this as i can't find out anywhere.

Well i enabled it in the nvidia control panel and i think it was ok.When running 3D mark 06 is it normal that it is very jerky or should it be smooth?

Ok thanks ajgoodfellow i will try and swap the card in to my other pc today to see if that makes any difference.

Well i fianally got round to try my card in another pc yesterday but when i opened up the pc i found that the screw that holds the vid vard in place was loose.I took out the card and then reseated it and put the screw back in securely and tried the game again and so far everything seems to be ok.Looks like it might have just been the loose connection.
