hi

we have a Dell Poweredge T110 at work and would like to run 4 monitors on it

spec of the T110:

Two x8 PCIe Gen2 slots for full-height cards, connected to the CPU
One x4 PCIe Gen2 slot for a full-height card, connected to the PCH
One x1PCIe Gen2 slot for a full-height card, connected to the PCH
The system supports 25W maximum power for all four PCIe cards

any idea which cards i can use?

monitors have DVI/VGA on them

Thanks!

You will struggle to get 1 card to run 4 screens given the slots available to you - but you could run two NVIDIA Quadro NVS 300 PCI-E x1 cards, which do 2 dvi each from a DMS-59 connector. each card will run to ~£100 new.

Second hand route, you could get the slightly older Quadro NVS290 PCIE x1 cards for about £25 each.

PCI-E x1 Cards will work in any of the 4 slots you have - no issues.

Ghetto alternative would be to hack the end out of one of the x8 Slots, and run something like a Sapphire Radeon Flex edition, which can do 4 screens from one card.
