Card with HDMI

Hello,

I want to get my dad just a cheap graphics card with an HDMI port so he can connect his HDTV to the pc through the HDMI rather than VGA

Is there anything i need to check before hand or will any card work?

He is on W7, 4gb Ram, 1tb HDD

I'm assuming his board's got a physical PCI-E x16 slot?

PCI and PCI-E are 2 different things.

You need to make sure it has a long PCI-E slot similar to those shown below.

Any motherboard manufactured in the last few years should have one.
