Hi All,
i've got 1.5 weeks off work and i wanted to know what people thought about doing a 30 min run in the morning and then doing weights in the afternoon in 4 day cycles:

thursday - 9am 30 min run, 3pm chest weights training HIT
friday - 9am 30 min run, 3pm back weights training HIT
saturday - 9am 30 min run, 3pm shoulders/arms weights training HIT
sunday - no run, 3pm legs weights training HIT
REST
REST
then repeat

My goal is to get better definition with a little muscle growth and reduce body fat %.

I've been weight training for a while with the above, except without the running. I've seen some good results, i would say another 3 months would get me to where i want to be - but will doing running in the mornings reduce muscle growth or knacker me out too much?

Thanks

Fuel yourself right and 2 sessions a day is more than possible.
not sure i would do it all over 4 days mind

You could always try doing 3 days of full body work outs with 5 minutes of jogging on either side, then one or two days of cardio, perferably HIIT. Full body work outs will burn through a fair amount of calories, and won't mean spending an obscene amount of time each day training!

I've regularly been doing 3-4 days on, 1-2 day off for the last month, including cycling to/from work.

You just have to make sure you get enough food and rest. I often power nap between getting home from work and hitting the gym. Also i now get to sleep before midnight instead of staying up messing around till 1-2am.
