Cards Under £150?

+1, anything more is a waste for only HD videos.

Nah, I'm going to give my brother the 460. I'm now referring to cards solely for myself for both gaming and video.:)


Is that 280 the best for the budget for gaming? I can go £180 max so there's room to move if needed.

R9 280 is best performing card for sub £150 @ £149.99 new from Powercolor!

Then look at 270X, 760 and 750Ti as other good alternative lower cost options.

Only the cheapest 760 is actually £20 more expensive than that 280 ;)

The 270X and 750ti are the lower cost options, but significantly worse performance than the 280.

All in all, now OP has decided he doesn't have to go nVidia, the 280 is probably the best bet.
 
You could go for the XFX 280 and you get a free 60GB SSD with it too which you could sell or keep
