Care to spec me an upgrade....?

Ok after nearly ordering a 'next gen' console.... I thought why?!?! I love pcs always have but have not been looking at recent mobos / cpus / gfx since I bought this lot a couple of years ago....
care to spec me an upgrade ?

Have the following I can use / sell on.

Asus P6T intel X58

intel I7 920 (2.67ghz @ 3ghz)

3 x 2 gb ram (corsair XMS3)

2 x 80 gb Intel SSD sata II

2 x 2tb hard drives

1920 x 1200 display dell 2407

Sapphire Vapor x 5870

Asus Xonar d2x

coolermaster stacker 830

enermax galaxy 850w atx 2.2 modular ps2

megahalems cooler .... also a corsair H80

and other bits.....

Love car / racing / flight simulators........ but am not planning on changing monitor so 1920 x 1200 is all I need to goto.

I would look at just upgrading the Gpu. Maybe OC the Cpu a bit more and see how you get on.

ok after a long time... and trying to load up GTA V with the port old 5870....

I just opted for the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 FTW+ ACX 2.0+
(mainly because it should stay quieter?)

tell me this will do for a while..... was nearly tempted to got 980 ... but then... I wont be changing any of the above spec yet anyways... so 980 would be overkill ?

Bit late to the party, but what about getting a bigger ssd to store your games on? 240gb instead of one of the 80gb and run your games off that.
