So, a bit of a back story.
I am a Instrumentation and control Apprentice for a certain large company in south Wales and tbh the company future isn't looking too bright (If the rumours are to be believed).
Tbh, I'm pretty fed up with the incompetent management and the general relationship between the workers and the management. Also the constant begging and "acquiring" parts to complete jobs.

So what I want to know is there any additional courses which i could undertake in either part time or book time off to do that will increase my worth If i decide to look for a job after my apprenticeship.

Current Qualifications
  1. BTEC National Certificate; Electrical and Electronic Engineering
  2. HNC Measurement And Control Systems
  3. NVQ Level 2 Performing Engineering Operations
  4. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering Maintenance Process Control
  5. IOSH
  6. Digital Automation Training; PLC Level 1 Allen Bradley SLC 500
  7. Digital Automation Training AC Drives Course
  8. Digital Automation Training Level 2 Instruments
  9. In house Course: Electrical Basic Motors
  10. In house course; Electrical Basic Motors
  11. Digital Automation Training, Level 1 Instrumentation Course
  12. Euro therm PLC course
  13. Portable Appliance Testing
  14. Digital Automation Training Inverters
  15. In house Fault finding course
  16. Advance Electronics course (Bridgend college)
  17. 17th edition Regulations
  18. Allen and Bradley Control Logic And scada
  19. Siemens S7 control logic and Scada course
  20. CG 2392 Inspection and testing

So basically spec a few courses to improve my chances of getting a job outside of work

Ty for the replies in advance

Convert Measurement & Control HNC to Electrical Engineering HND then go to final year of degree?

But TBH you have plenty of qualifications to find yourself another job. Start looking/applying now.

Beware that the unit cost of HNC/D is set to increase massively as government subsidy is withdrawn (I've been told by 7-8 times per unit). Get in quickly if you're interested, but you might already be too late.

Cheers for the reply, will hopefully do a HND, but local college only does a HND in engineering...
My apprenticeship is very similiar to the electrical boys, only differance is that I get sent on jollys to the local college to learn about electronics and basic physics.

Was thinking about doing a Compex course but its seems very expensive and has a terrible pass rate.
Was also thinking of doing a telecomunications based qualification or networking along with a eurotherm programming and fault finding but yet again they seem very expensive for a bit of paper.

Ive noticed that a lot of jobs advertised online are for oil companies and they require very specific qualifications mainly sea rescue, any got an idea of the total price im going to have to invest to get suitably qualified?
