i need to replace my living room carpet due to an accident fish tank related the stuff what was down cost about £10 per square meter in 2011. 8mm under lay i have needs to come up too.

I'm pricing carpets up on-line of the same price


£154.36 for the carpet

£171.44 for 10 mm under lay.

the 6mm stuff is £75

cheers guys I'll get that cloud 9 stuff £47 for a 15m2 roll, i can't believe the mark up carpetright are making on underlay they are adding £124 is that 250% extra ?

i could tackle the underlay but the carpet no chance i tried once it was a disaster same with lino never again been thinking about laminate in the lounge and the hallway i could do the lounge myself helped to do my brothers living room a few years ago, wasn't too bad basic square room like mine. he complained it made his flat feel cold though ?

think i would have too get someone in for the hall it's complicated 4 door ways coming off it.

i was quoted £250 fitting fee for the hall and living room for laminate, another place quoted £60 for fitting the one carpet.
