Got a quote for my house to be recarpeted from a decent local company, how does it sound?

105sq m (Lounge, dining room, stairs, hall way and 3 bedrooms) for £2900 inc vat

This was for living in but i may end up selling the place soon, all carpets need replacing really as ive decorated/cut carpet for painting skirting/ old owners carpeted around furniture (?!)

Details :

Devotion carpet at £14 /m2
11mm blue heaven £5.5 /m2
Fitting inc staircase surcharge £3.5/m2
all plus vat

Pluse an extra £50 to remove of the old carpet and insulaton (sounds strangely low)

Thanks for the time to reply - I guess southern prices kicking in s other people i have asked said that it sounds about right

Im tempted to sort the underlay myself. Blue heaven is a proper brand similar to cloud 9, it is PU foam. Ive found that online for 2.66 a square metre and as i need 105m thats exactly 7 rolls.

I went back to ask for just dining room and lounge 42 m2 but as this was lower volume of carpet purchase so wanted £1300!

Think i will do more shopping about and then think about getting all online and find a cash fitter

Is it 4m or 4 and a bit. Most rolls are 4m

For 28sqm does sound a lot but no idea what carpet/ underlay it is.
