My mate's got a Dell XPS laptop, and he's always had trouble playing back HD 1080p content. Regardless of reformats, different codec packs, different media players and so on, they either refuse to play, crashing the program, or play so poorly that they're unwatchable.
I'm wondering if it's simply down to his CPU - he says it's maxed out when he tries to watch 1080....can it simply not take the load?
