Carrales V Castillo III

It's going to be a great fight and with the risk of spoiling it, I have to say Castillo is a strong favourite. He is an excellent fighter and the only one to test Mayweather. I hope Hobson gives Hatton the opportunity to fight the winner. A rematch with Collazo would be a big mistake for him.

first fight between them was the best i have ever seen - superb fighting and a true true test of heart, courage and fitness.

Hopefully this one will be the same.

Castillo to win this one quite easily IMO

If Castillo wins then he is set up for a Cotto fight later in the year. If Corrales wins he has said that he does not want to move up to 140lbs and wants to unify the division so I don't think Hatton will get either.

Winky v Taylor is on Sky Sports

i would be betting on a draw for this one - as corrupt as boxing is - it wouldn't suprise me to be a draw.

still can;t wait for this one - should be excellent scrap.

Hatton said on talksport that he is looking to fight the winner. He said that he only moved up the weight to fight luis collazo because his scheduled opponent juan lazcano pulled out. He also said he only then had 7 weeks to make up the weight, tho maybe that is making excuses a bit.

Would be good to see the winner fight hatton tho

I think if/when Castillo wins he was saying he wanted to fight Cotto.

If Corrales wins he said he wanted to unify the division so hatton will be out of luck on both fronts prolly.

FIGHTS OFF!!! Castillo ate to many pies

By Mike Sloan at the scales
5:25PM: Corrales promoter Gary Shaw announces that the fight is off. Castillo's promoter Bob Arum says he is "mortified and completely embarrassed. The SHOWTIME telecast will go on with IBF flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan vs Luis Maldonado as the main event

I'm glad Corrales walked away. Coming in at 140 pounds is an insult.

WTF!

No wonder he didnt make the weight he was 5 pounds over to start with! short of cutting his foot off or something :p

He obviously thought Corrales would take the money and fight him overweight again but fair play to him he wasnt that stupid again.

Disgrace to boxing tbh.

Castillo is a disgrace to boxing and it's no wonder that Arum wants nothing more to do with him.

If he wasn't going to make weight the least he could have done was admit it before the weigh in. He must have known for a while if he couldn't make it or not and why on earth wasn't his weight being monitored in the past week or so? And to come back after 2 hours and not lose a single 1/2lb it's shocking, he obviously thought that Corrales would let the fight go ahead again.

Agreed it is a disgrace to boxing. His blatant disregard for making the weight and also getting caught trying to cheat the last weigh in.

I've seen the video of the weigh in and he hardy looks bothered. He even has a smug almost grin at times.

The way boxing works i wouldn't be surprised if he picks up a new promoter and earns even more cash fighting on HBO. I've liked a lot of his fight but have lost all respect for him.

Atleast the fans have been offered a full refund over there, unlike the crap our fans have just been recently offered.

But there are no big fights at 140lbs for him :p Cotto is the one remaining 'superstar' in that division and Arum wants nothing to do with Castillo now so it's very doubftul that they'll fight.

Possibly a fight with Hatton but Castillo should be suspended for a year or more IMO
